The government has to come up with a long-term strategy against the new Corona case

Kochi, 3 August 2021 Tuesday

Epidemiology and public health experts have termed the resurgence of corona cases in Kerala as the beginning of a third wave of epidemics.

However, the state government has not officially called the situation a third wave. Experts then said that during the second wave of epidemics, during the last week of June 7 to July, the number of cases in Kerala has not changed much from 15,000 to 16,000 a day.

"The rise in the number of cases could be the start of a third wave of Corona. We must remain concerned now. Our vast population is rapidly affected by the disease. The government will have to work with a long-term strategy in the new wave of corona, said public health expert and epidemiologist Dr. Raman Kutty said that at present, 91 per cent of corona cases in the country are in Kerala. Its seven-day average daily growth rate is 0.50%. While the country's rate is 0.15 percent.

When our people are affected by the disease very quickly, any viral infection, according to its general principle, strikes in many waves. In Kerala too, in fact, Viram will have to endure many socks before that, says former Kerala epidemiologist Dr. a. Sukumar said. He has relinquished his retirement restart at the Corona control room in Wayanad.
