Taliban militants search homes for US supporters

Kabul, 20 August 2021 Friday

With the Taliban occupying Afghanistan, the declaration that it will not retaliate against anyone is becoming a matter of dust.

In fact, Taliban militants are conducting house-to-house investigations into US military supporters in Afghanistan. These supporters, the Taliban who do not come out, are killing their families.

Rayon Fazers, a retired U.S. military official, said the interpreter he worked with in 2010 was captured and killed by the Taliban at Kabul airport.

Journalists working for foreign media houses in Afghanistan have also been targeted by the Taliban. The Taliban are looking for a journalist for a German news channel. Some Taliban even went to his house and searched it.

When the journalist could not be found, one of his family members was killed. Earlier, terrorists assassinated India's Pulitzer Prize winner Danish Siddiqui. Moreover, Ahmedullah Hamdard was also killed.

The two-decade-long war in Afghanistan has killed at least 2.61 million people. A recent report from Brown University in the United States, Costs of War, states that there is a 60-kilometer-long mountainous border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Here the US drones have made maximum attacks and fought real battles. A total of 31.5 local civilians from Afghanistan and Pakistan have been killed in the fighting.
