Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has termed the change in Jallianwala Bagh memorial as an insult to the martyrs. On this issue, Rahul Gandhi, while targeting the Central Government, said that such an insult to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh can only be done by those who do not know the meaning of martyrdom. Rahul Gandhi said that I am the son of a martyr and I will not tolerate the insult of martyrs at any cost. We are against this ruthless cruelty.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the renovated premises of Jallianwala Bagh. PM Modi was getting a lot of criticism for this. Recently, historian Irfan Habib said that this is the incorporation of the monument. These are losing their true value in the name of modern structures.

There is a lot of criticism on this topic

Left Party leader Sitaram Yechury also criticized the renovation of Jallianwala Bagh. "This is an insult to our martyrs," he said. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs gathered for Vaishakhi gave impetus to our freedom struggle. Those who stayed away from the freedom struggle can do such a thing. Congress leader Hasiba said there was something like a celebration in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre where light and sound were needed.

The PM also inaugurated some of the museum galleries developed at the Jallianwala Bagh memorial site. Four museum galleries have been built on campus to ensure a second convenient use of long-dormant and under-used buildings. Along with this a sound and light show has been arranged to show the various events that took place on 13th April 1919.
