Pak militant groups fighting in Afghanistan, Afghan foreign minister seeks India's help

New Delhi, 4 August 2021, Wednesday

Amid Taliban militants fighting for control of Afghanistan, the Afghan government has for the first time publicly acknowledged that the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba is wreaking havoc in our country.

Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar on Tuesday spoke to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar regarding the Taliban violence. Hanif said that so far 3 lakh people have been killed and 3 lakh made homeless in Taliban violence.

According to the Afghan Foreign Minister, Taliban militants along with 10,000 terrorists from more than one Pakistani terrorist organization are creating havoc in Afghanistan.

The Afghan Foreign Minister has spoken to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and demanded that India convene an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council. So as to prevent Taliban violence from being discussed.

India currently holds the helm of the Security Council, which is why the Afghan foreign minister has now sought India's help. A suicide bomber blew himself up at the residence of Afghanistan's defense minister in Kabul. In which 10 people were killed.
