Hundreds of people vandalized a temple of Lord Ganesha at Rahimyar Khan's Bhong Sharif last Wednesday. Before the incident, an 8-year-old child was going to a madrassa to drink water. There he was beaten and the cleric of that madrassa also lodged a complaint against the child.
In this case, the police also ignored the fact that the child being prosecuted is only 8 years old and sent him to jail. After being kept in jail for 2 days, he was produced in the local court where the judge released the 8-year-old boy after beating the policemen.
The goons did not like this and went to the temple and set it on fire. In the case, the apex court said that such an incident would not have happened if the police had taken timely action.
The child, his family and the Hindus living in the area are terrified after the incident. They are feeling the loss of their lives and property. In addition, many families have fled their homes.
