The current monsoon session of Parliament is in full swing. Pegasus in particular is besieging the opposition government with full force on the espionage controversy and the issue of the peasantry. Parliament is in turmoil. Due to which the proceedings are not going properly. The opposition is in the mood to hold a parallel parliamentary session outside Parliament.

Sources close to the Opposition said they had received information about the proposal. Most importantly, the proposal will be discussed in a meeting with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Leaders of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are scheduled to meet tomorrow at 10 am. The meeting will discuss the proposal to hold a parallel parliamentary session in the presence of Rahul Gandhi.

It may be mentioned that the present Parliament session has been going on since July 19. There has been a steady upsurge in this session. The opposition is demanding the repeal of three laws linked to agriculture and the Pegasus spy scandal. Both the issues are being debated in the House every day and proceedings are being adjourned continuously.

The opposition is alleging that the government wants to pass the bill at its own discretion and is running away from issues such as inflation, Pegasus or agricultural legislation.
