Jinping's goal is to make China's military the best in the world by 202

On the eve of Chinese Army Day, President Xi Jinping stressed the need to accelerate the process of modernizing China's military. With this, Jinping called on the army to conduct continuous war games and be ready for war at any time. On the other hand, the 15th Phase Corps Commander's meeting between India and China to reduce tensions on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh lasted nine hours on Saturday, during which the issue of withdrawing troops from Gogra and Hot Springs was discussed.

Even during a recent trip to Tibet, Jinping, in a meeting with top commanders, instructed the troops to train hard and be ready for war at any time. He said his goal is to make China's military the best in the world by 203. August 1 is Chinese Army Day and marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Xi Jinping is constantly emphasizing the modernization of the PLA. When Xi Jinping came to power, he rocked the PLA by punishing more than 50 top generals as well as middle-ranking officials in a massive anti-corruption campaign.

Xi Jinping said that it is the responsibility of the Chinese military, the Communist Party and the country as a whole to realize the goal of making the Chinese military the best it can be. He called for full attention to China's military needs in economic and social development, and strict adherence to national defense requirements in the construction of vital infrastructure. He urged the army to provide employment to the families and to remove the problems created in the education of the children of the soldiers as soon as possible.

China is constantly increasing its defense budget and it can be estimated from this how fast China is working to achieve its goal. In 2021, China's defense budget was more than 200 billion.

Meanwhile, the 19th phase of the Corps Commander's meeting between India and China lasted for two hours on Saturday. The meeting, held to defuse tensions in the ongoing military conflict in the eastern Ladakh sector, discussed moving forward in the direction of withdrawing troops from key points, including Gogra and Hot Springs. India has already made it clear that India will not withdraw its troops from key points until the Chinese military returns to its pre-May 2020 position, and that peaceful relations and bilateral relations between the two countries will not be possible.
