India has reached a new height in Ladakh. The Border Road Organization (BRO) has built the world's tallest road here. This road is located in Umalingala Pass, East Ladakh. Its height is 19,300 feet above sea level. With which India has broken the record of Bolivia. Bolivia holds the record for the longest road in the world. The elevation of the road in Bolivia is 18,953 feet above sea level. While the Indian Army has broken this record. The defense ministry said on Wednesday.

The length of this road is 52 kms and this road passes through Umalingala and connects to Chumar sector of East Ladakh. This road will be very beneficial for the locals. This is because this road will be an alternative route to connect Chisumle and Damchok with eastern Ladakh. This road will lead to social and economic development of Ladakh. At the same time, change will be encouraged here. The BRDO has faced a number of challenges in building this road, according to the defense ministry.

We have also had to fight against bad weather during road construction. The temperature here is minus 40 degrees during the cold season. At the same time, even in a normal space, the oxygen level is reduced by 50 percent. According to the Ministry of Defense, the BRDO has achieved this in the face of adverse weather conditions. In terms of altitude, this road is even higher than the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal. The southern base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal is located at an altitude of 17,598 feet. The northern base camp of Tibet is located at an altitude of 16,900 feet. While the height of this road is 19300 feet.
