For every single case of corona reported in India, there are 30 cases that could not be detected, according to an analysis of the fourth sero-survey by ICMR, an independent epidemiologist. Chandrakant Lahariya said.

Sharing his analysis on Twitter, the public health expert said that many cases could not be caught against a single case of corona in India. However, he clarified that his statement did not mean that these cases could not be caught due to government negligence or defects in the surveillance system. Lahariya added that many cases are asymptomatic, so are not reported. However, asymptomatic cases can also be reported if contact tracing is done well. Some states have more cases of contact tracing than other states.

The Union Ministry of Health on Wednesday released the details of the fourth round of the National Circuit Survey conducted by ICMR in 20 districts of the country. Madhya Pradesh tops the chart of seroprevalence with 9 per cent while Kerala is at the bottom with 7.5 per cent. According to the analysis, every laboratory in India has confirmed that no case has been registered in the range of 7 to 8 against the confirmation of Corona's case.
