Hoona head to postpone corona booster vaccination for two months

Honey appeals to reduce inequality in vaccine distribution and avoid new variants

Governments concerned over rising Corona cases despite lockdown in Australia-Singapore

BUDAPEST: World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebresis has called on the world's leading countries to avoid giving booster doses for two months to reduce the unequal distribution of the corona vaccine in the world and to curb new variants of the corona.

Tedros has appealed to the countries that are giving the third dose of corona vaccine to their citizens to distribute the corona vaccine to other countries so that they can give the first dose and the second dose to their citizens. A number of countries in the world, including the US, Israel, Hungary and other countries in Europe, are planning to give booster doses in many countries in the Middle East and Asia.

According to government figures, 1,87,000 people in Hungary have been given booster doses. Last week, U.S. health officials announced plans to give all Americans a booster dose of corona to prevent delta reent cases. The World Health Organization has appealed to developing countries to make greater efforts to get the corona vaccine.

Tedros said 4.6 billion doses of the corona vaccine have been given in the world so far, of which 75 per cent have been given in only ten countries, while less than two per cent of the corona vaccine has been given in Africa. Injustice in vaccine distribution and vaccine nationalism increase the risk of more contagious variants emerging.

Where the vaccine is low, there is an increased risk of contracting the virus. This puts them at risk of producing even more contagious variants than Delta. Not a single person is safe unless everyone is safe, Tedros said, urging rich countries to donate corona vaccines.

Along with China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand also tried to impose strict lockdowns on areas where corona infection has spread by sealing borders for all foreigners and conducting aggressive testing.

The policy has also been successful in curbing corona, but these countries are reconsidering the case as corona cases are on the rise again in Australia and New Zealand due to the delta variant. The Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morris wrote an article in a newspaper signaling an end to the zero tolerance measure. He said a lockdown was needed but would not be for long.

The Australian government will now focus on reducing the number of corona cases and how many people need to be treated for corona in hospital. Despite lockdowns in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, thousands of people protested against the extension of Corona restrictions due to the rise in Corona cases.

Singapore also wants to make living with Corona a new routine. However, China is not in favor of taking a lenient stance on the issue. China warned people that the Koro epidemic was not over.

The people were appealed not to show negligence in the matter of measures to prevent the epidemic. China has given 1.94 billion doses of the corona vaccine. The ratio is even higher than in the UK and USA.
