Feelings of Indians hurt: Vandalism at Ganesh temple in Pakistan, video goes viral

A Hindu temple in Pakistan's Punjab province has been attacked and vandalized by some Muslim fundamentalists. Several idols of the temple were smashed and a fire broke out in the temple premises. The Pakistani government had ordered an inquiry into the matter.

In this case, FIR has been registered against 100-150 unidentified persons from Bhong Sharif police in 6 different sections. Crop. There will also be a hearing in the Supreme Court today.

A Hindu temple was vandalized in Bhong town of Rahim Yar Khan district in Pakistan's Punjab province. A mob of some radical Muslims from the city stormed the temple premises and set the temple on fire. Sabotaged the statues. The mob was not brought under control by the police, so Pakistan Reserve Force personnel had to be called.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MP Dr. Ramesh Kumar Wankwani posted the video on Twitter. Hindu leader Dr. Ramesh Kumar had called on the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and demanded an inquiry into the incident. The Supreme Court judge then announced an immediate hearing on the incident.

The FIR was registered more than 24 hours after the demolition of the Siddhivinayak temple. All FIRs have been made against unknown people. No case has been registered against any of the nominees while the faces of the saboteurs are clearly visible in the viral video. Earlier on Thursday evening, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered action against the culprits.

The government of Pakistan's Imran Khan had ordered an inquiry amid criticism from all quarters. An official statement from Pakistan's PM's office said the government was criticizing the attack on the Hindu temple and would conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident.

Police have been deployed to maintain peace in the area. However, not a single person was arrested in the incident. The Hindu community demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers.

The Indian government had summoned the Pakistani ambassador to Delhi in connection with the incident and sought an explanation. A Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that India had raised the issue of atrocities against Hindu minorities in Pakistan with the Pakistani ambassador.
