Diesel price cut for second day in a row: No change in petrol


In Delhi, diesel price has been reduced by 20 paise to Rs. 89.47

New Delhi: Diesel prices have been reduced for the second day in a row. For the second day in a row, there was no change in petrol prices. Today, the price of a liter of diesel has been reduced by 20 paise.

According to a price notification issued by state-owned oil marketing companies, the price of a liter of diesel in Delhi has come down from Rs 89.67 to Rs 89.47.

Diesel prices were also reduced by 19 to 21 paise yesterday. It may be mentioned that there was no change in petrol price even yesterday. At present, a liter of petrol costs Rs 101.84 in Delhi. Oil prices have been falling for two days in a row due to falling international oil prices.

The US Federal Reserve announced it would reduce asset purchases in the coming months. Commodity prices are falling and the dollar is rising following the announcement. Brent crude fell 2. 2.13 to 66 66.10. India has to import 85 per cent of its oil needs.

Diesel prices were cut for the first time in 33 days yesterday. Petrol and diesel prices were last hiked on July 17. Earlier, petrol price was hiked by Rs 11.44 per liter and diesel by Rs 9.14 per liter from May 4 to July 17.
