Wang made the remarks on the 70th anniversary of the Chinese invasion of Lhasa's Potala Palace, home to Buddhist leaders. Critics say China's imposition of its own culture in Tibet could lead to the collapse of traditional Buddhist culture. Wang, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee and overseeing policy towards sexual minorities, said the activities of the Dalai Lama and his followers have been crushed. Since 1951, Tibet has moved from darkness to light.
