Al-Qaeda threatens to blow up Delhi airport

New Delhi: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has received bomb threats. The threat was received in the name of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Security at the airport has been beefed up following an email to Delhi Police. The airport is also being closely monitored by a bomb squad.

Independence Day is going to be celebrated on August 15 in Delhi. Security has also been beefed up at the Independence Day celebrations following the threat and Delhi Police has tightened security at the airport. An email received by Delhi Police claimed that a couple would carry out a bomb blast. And only on Sunday will the organization do this blast.

Earlier, a similar bomb blast was reported in March. Security has been beefed up in Delhi ahead of the August 15 celebrations. Security has also been beefed up at the Red Fort. The IGI Airport Operations Control Center was informed of the threat by email yesterday.

It is claimed that Karanbir Suri alias Mohammad Jalil and his wife Shaili Sara alias Hussain are coming to India from Singapore. At the same time, there are threats of a bomb blast in one to three days. However, the investigation has revealed that a similar threat has been received in the same name in the past.
