Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh is no longer with us, but all the things associated with him will live on in the memory of the people of Uttar Pradesh and BJP workers for a long time to come. The most interesting of these is the coronation of Kalyan Singh as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in India.

The BJP won the Uttar Pradesh Assembly for the first time in 191 on its strength. It was the culmination of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement that started in the country. Congress has fielded P.V. Narasimha Rao was installed as the Prime Minister.

Rao was a scholar and senior Brahmin leader of South India. Therefore, the BJP and the Sangh Parivar also wanted to hand over the reins of UP to a senior and mature Brahmin leader.

Therefore, the name of Atal Behari Vajpayee, the veteran leader of the party, was first discussed as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. But he expressed reluctance to leave central politics and go into regional politics to run the government.

After that, Dr. Sangh Parivar. Murli considered Manohar Joshi for the post of Chief Minister of UP. Since Allahabad was the karma land of the scholar Joshi, everyone's mind was on him. However, Dr Joshi said, "Becoming my chief minister will send a signal that the party has no leader in the region."

After this, Murli Manohar Joshi suggested the name of Kalyan Singh, who became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

After Kalyan Singh became the Chief Minister, he started a campaign to exonerate Uttar Pradesh, as a result of which many notorious mafias either left Uttar Pradesh or were thrown behind bars. People still remember Kalyan Singh's efforts to improve the law and order situation in the state.

Kalyan Singh was the Chief Minister of Ayodhya when the Babri Masjid collapsed on December 9, 19. His government, however, had to sit at home, but taking responsibility for the Babri fall, Kalyan Singh told the Supreme Court that he alone was responsible for the Babri demolition.
