UP government's new population law will hurt Hindus: VHP

The decision of special benefit to a family having only one child is inappropriate

A big problem in population growth development, a new policy will be implemented to overcome it: CM Yogi

New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has raised objections to the Uttar Pradesh government's population control bill. "We welcome the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government to implement the population-related law," said Alok Kumar, International Chairman, VHP. However, we are opposed to the second part of the bill.

The second part of the bill states that a couple who have only one child will receive several additional benefits. The VHP demands that the government should also think about this. This is because this provision could unbalance the population between Hindus and Muslims.

"We welcome the decision to curb population growth as population growth has become a major problem across the country," he said. At present people of every society agree with the decision to curb population growth.

On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that population growth has become a major obstacle to development. Uttar Pradesh Population Policy 2021-2030 was launched on the occasion of World Population Day. The aim is to overcome population growth and close the gap between the female and male populations.

Whoever has one child as per the provision will be given special benefit of the government. However, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad objected to it. On the other hand, SP MP Shafiqur Rehman said that if the population was controlled, there could be a shortage of labor force. What to do at that time?
