(PTI) New Delhi, Dt

The government's concern is growing again after it barely got rid of the second wave of the Corona epidemic. The government is concerned that people are breaking corona protocol at hill stations and tourist destinations as the Corona's rage subsides. The government's concern has been heightened by the fact that more than 100 cases of corona are being reported daily in eight districts of the country amid warnings from the World Health Organization that a third wave of corona has started in the world. The central government on Friday once again said in a warning tone that the next 100 to 15 days are very important for the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also directed the states to take precautionary measures to stop the third wave and has given the mantra of four-t 'test', 'track', 'treat' and 'criticism' to the states.

The health ministry said more than 100 cases of corona were being reported daily in eight districts of the country and the positivity rate in more than 10 districts was more than 10 per cent. The next 100 to 15 days are very important for Corona in India. The matter has been analyzed on the basis of data from the World Health Organization. The world is moving towards the third wave of Corona, said V.K. Said Paul.

He added that if we look at the world, the cases of corona in Spain have increased by 4% in the last one week while in the Netherlands it has increased by 200%. The World Health Organization has issued a global warning. We have to understand this. We are still in grave danger of Corona. Herd immunity has not yet developed in the country. Currently the situation is under control, but if we are not careful and do not follow the Corona protocol, the situation could get worse at any time. Dr. According to the ICMR, two doses of the corona vaccine reduce the risk of death by 5 percent and one dose by 8 percent, Paul said. The claim is based on a study conducted on police personnel in Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a meeting with the chief ministers of six states - Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha and Maharashtra - in connection with the Koro epidemic. The Prime Minister said that the country has fought against Corona through mutual cooperation and joint efforts. The Prime Minister expressed concern over the rising cases of corona in Kerala and Maharashtra. He told the chief ministers that precautionary and effective measures would have to be taken against Koro to stop the third wave. Emphasizing on the 3-T policy, the Prime Minister said that we have to move forward by focusing on our strategy of tests, tracks, treats and vaccinations. We have to pay special attention to the micro containment zone. In districts where the positivity rate is higher, it is necessary to focus as much as in the case where more cases are being registered.

With this, the total number of cases was more than 2.10 crore while with 8 more deaths, the total death toll has gone up to more than 2.16 lakh.
