The government is preparing to face the third wave of Corona, find out the details

New Delhi, 19 July 2021 Monday

With regard to the launch of the third wave of corona in the country, the central government has decided to stock a month's buffer of essential corona drugs like remedivivir and favipiravir.

In addition, common medicines and supplements such as paracetamol, antibiotics and vitamins are being re-stored.

The central government is planning to buy 50 lakh vials of remedivir before the third wave of the disease. Better yet, the government is paying its bills in advance this time.

Chief Infectious Disease Specialist of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Dr. Sameeran Panda has expressed doubts that a third wave of corona could be seen in the country from August. He suspects, based on mathematical calculations, that the next wave could see a 50 per cent increase in cases per day. More than one lakh cases are likely to be reported daily in the third wave in August.

However, the figure is much smaller than other waves, as more than four lakh cases were being reported daily in the country during the first week of May. Given the current situation, an average of 40 to 50 thousand cases are being registered every day. According to this, experts have estimated a 50 per cent increase in new cases of corona in the third wave.

Dr Panda said the second wave was rooted in four state assembly elections and a breach of Koro's vigilance rules. If people are reckless this time too, uncontrollable crowds gather and all markets start opening before the end of vaccinations, the trouble in the third wave may also increase.

Earlier, Dr VK Pail, chairman of the Corona Vaccine Committee, also said that the next 100 to 125 days would be more testing for the country. This is because vaccination has to be done more than 50 to 60 percent in these days, and new waves have to be stopped in the same period.

As many as 21,447 cases of corona were reported in the country on July 15, while the figure rose to 88,792 on July 14. On July 15, 41,806, on July 16, ,8,949, on July 17, ,8,079, and on July 18, more than 41,000 cases were reported. Dr. According to Panda, Corona is stuck in the middle of the graph as people do not get along. This ups and downs have put the country in a position where a new wave can come from.
