The ED seized assets worth Rs 4.20 crore from Anil Deshmukh


The ED did not appear for questioning despite repeated summonses

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's troubles are mounting. The Enforcement Department (ED) has taken action against Deshmukh in the money laundering case. Deshmukh's assets worth Rs 4 crore 20 lakh have been seized by the ED. Due to which sensation has spread in the politics of Maharashtra. Now there are rumors of Deshmukh's arrest.

ED officials had summoned Deshmukh three times for questioning. But he did not appear for questioning. The ED also issued summons to Deshmukh's wife and son. The ED is said to have confiscated Deshmukh's assets in Mumbai and Nagpur.

Earlier, the ED raided Deshmukh's residence and office in Mumbai and Nagpur. Some documents and other materials were seized during the search operation. At the time, Deshmukh said all the allegations against him were false. Now there is a discussion as to whether Deshmukh will be arrested by the ED.

Police officer Sachin Waze and others were arrested in connection with the discovery of an explosive-laden vehicle near the house of businessman Mukesh Ambani and the subsequent murder of the owner of the vehicle. The then Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh was replaced.

Later, Parambir Singh wrote a letter to the Chief Minister accusing Deshmukh of corruption. It was alleged in the letter that Deshmukh had targeted Vaz to collect Rs 100 crore every month. Due to which Deshmukh was removed from office. And their investigation was initiated.
