The BJP spent six times more on Google advertising than the Congress

New Delhi, 11 July 2021 Sunday

Recently, an advertisement of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was published in Gujarat newspapers. The BJP criticized Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party for this, alleging that Kejriwal was spending the money of the people of Delhi on campaigning in other states. However, all the political parties are at the forefront of this issue and they continue to propagate themselves in other states as per their need. The BJP is spending almost six times more than the Congress if we talk about advertising on Google beyond the physical boundaries.

According to a report by Google Transparency, the BJP has advertised Rs 17.63 crore on various Google platforms since February, 2019, while the Congress has advertised only Rs 3 crore during the period, which means the BJP has spent almost six times more on Google Did behind the propaganda.

The BJP's Maharashtra unit has separately spent Rs 1.06 crore on advertising on Google, while Maharashtra's ruling Shiv Sena has spent only Rs 35 lakh. The Bharatiya Janata Party (Marxist) has so far spent only Rs 17.04 lakh.

However, if we talk about the political party which spends the most, the DMK has shocked everyone on this issue. Despite being a regional party in Tamil Nadu, the DMK has spent Rs 22.25 crore in the meantime, the highest ever by any political party.

DMK's rival AIADMK has spent Rs 7.31 crore in the meantime. With the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu in April, 2021, the campaigning expenses of the parties there have increased.

According to the state, various political parties in Tamil Nadu spent the most money on Google. Tamil Nadu spent Rs 34.63 crore in the election year. It was followed by Maharashtra at Rs 7.76 crore, Delhi at Rs 6.96 crore, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 5.44 crore, Bihar at Rs 4.51 crore and Madhya Pradesh at Rs 2.60 crore. Besides, Odisha spent Rs 4.8 crore, Rajasthan Rs 1.74 crore, Telangana Rs 2.64 crore, Uttar Pradesh Rs 2.90 crore and West Bengal Rs 5.09 crore.

Congress leader Ritu Chaudhary said that whether it is AAP or BJP, both the parties want to use the drum of propaganda to advance their politics. The BJP should ask why Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is being campaigned on the streets of Delhi. Chaudhary alleged that Yogi Adityanath was trying to win the 2022 UP Assembly elections not through his own work but through campaigning.

The truth is that whether it is the BJP or the Congress or any other political party - all the parties keep advertising them in the Delhi newspapers. This makes it easier to communicate his work in political circles and to improve his image.
