Taliban recaptured Kandahar, India recalls 50 officers

New Delhi: The Taliban are occupying several districts in Afghanistan. Including Kandahar. Many areas of Kandahar have been captured by Taliban militants. Following which, Indian ambassadors and officials have been recalled. The decision has also been taken in the wake of the possibility of terrorists attacking them at any time.

According to a statement issued by the Indian government, about 50 ambassadors and security personnel have been recalled to Kandahar. All were brought back to India by Air Force aircraft. Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson for the Indian High Commission in Kandahar, said India was keeping a close eye on security in Afghanistan. The safety of our security personnel is paramount. The Indian High Commission in Kandahar has not been closed.

The spokesperson said Indian personnel have been temporarily recalled following clashes with the Taliban near Kandahar city. The High Commission will continue to work through our Sruthanik staff members. On the other hand, there are reports that along with the Taliban in Afghanistan, the army is also active in about 7,000 Toiba militants and is occupying one district after another.

With the US withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan, Taliban militants have begun to move forward and gradually occupy more territory. India is helping in many ways for peace in Afghanistan. For which many officials are also active there. They have been recalled for fear of being attacked by Taliban terrorists.
