New Delhi: The border dispute between Assam and Mizoram is on the rise. Recently, there was a violent clash on the border between the citizens of Mizoram and the security personnel of Assam. Not only that, six Assam police personnel were killed in the violence. Amid the controversy, the chief ministers of both the states have appealed to PM Modi to intervene in the PMO.

Earlier, the chief ministers of the two states had appealed to Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene in the matter. On Monday evening, Amit Shah also held talks with the chief ministers of the two states and assured them that the matter would be settled soon.

On Monday, Mizoram CM Joramthanga shared a video of the clash between police and civilians on social media by tagging Home Minister Amit Shah and the PMO. And demanded immediate action in the whole matter.

At the same time, the Chief Minister alleged that hooliganism had taken place with the returning citizens of Mizoram. How do you justify such violent incidents? Assam Police, on the other hand, also tweeted that it was unfortunate that some anti-social elements in Mizoram had pelted stones at Assam government officials.

These officers are ready to protect the encroachment of Assam land in Lailpur. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma, on the other hand, wrote on Twitter that the Hon'ble Joramthangaji Mizoram SPA had told us that his citizens would not listen and violence would continue till we stepped back from the post.
