Naradham son hanged for killing old mother for alcohol in Kolhapur

Mumbai: Four years ago, there was a shocking incident in Kolhapur. An unfortunate son killed his elderly mother for alcohol. Undeterred, however, the cutter dismembered his mother's limbs and cooked and ate her. A Kolhapur court had sentenced Naradham's son to death in the case.

According to further details, a horrific incident took place in Makadwala settlement within the limits of Shahupuri police station in Kolhapur city. On August 28, 2017, Sunil Kuchikorvi, an alcoholic living in the area, asked his mother Yalava Kuchikorvi for money to drink alcohol.

The widowed mother worked as a housemaid and supported Sunil and his four young children. Yellava did not give him money as the house was in a very bad condition and Sunil often asked for money for alcohol. Sunil was incensed by this and in a fit of rage stabbed his mother to death.

Although Naradham did not stop there, he cut off various parts of the mother's body with the help of sharp weapons and put them in the freezer and cooked and ate other parts including the mother's care. The entire case was heard in a Kolhapur court after the horrific incident. The court had ruled in the case two days ago and sentenced the accused son to death.
