NEW DELHI: Well-known milk supplier Mother Dairy has hiked milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) as well as other cities, effective from Sunday.
The purchase price of milk has increased by 8-10 per cent in the last one year. Other incidental costs have also risen, Derry explained. Amul Dairy has hiked its milk price by Rs 2 per liter since July 1.
The price hike by Mother Dairy will also be implemented in major centers in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Nagpur and Kolkata. Mother Dairy's milk is sold in over 100 cities across the country. Its total daily sales are 35 lakh liters.
