Ministers including Ravi Shankar, Javadekar removed as part of the system: Modi

New Delhi, Dt

The removal of 12 ministers before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new cabinet has raised questions in the media about the efficiency of these ministers. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday clarified that these ministers have been removed not for failure to function, but as part of the system.

On Wednesday morning before the expansion of the Union Cabinet, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dr. Fourteen ministers, including Harshvardhan and Prakash Javadekar, had resigned. It was rumored that the ministers were asked to resign due to their efficiency and effectiveness. However, at a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the ministers had been removed as part of the arrangement. Removing them has nothing to do with their efficiency.

Advising the new ministers who have been given responsibilities instead of the old ones, Modi said the new ministers should meet the old ministers and take advantage of their experience before taking charge of these ministries. Old ministers who are no longer part of the government have contributed a lot and new ministers should learn from them. At the same time, Modi has recommended to the ministers not to make blind statements in the media.
