Knit across the country simultaneously on September 12, starting the application process from today

New Delhi: As per the earlier schedule, the NEET (Medical Entrance Examination) to be held on August 1 will now be held on September 12, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said in a statement.

The minister said on Twitter that Knit-UG 2021 would be held across the country on September 12 with the Covid-19 protocol. The application process will start from 5 pm tomorrow. The process will be initiated from the NTA's website.

He further said that masks would be distributed to all students from the examination centers keeping in view the Covid-19 protocol. In addition, special attention will be paid to matters like contactless registration, proper sanitation, seating arrangement with social distance.

The Education Minister said that in order to maintain the social distance, the number of cities to take the exam has been increased from 155 to 198. Last year, 3862 examination centers were set up across the country. This time even more examination centers will be held.
