Important decision of Maharashtra Cabinet: Private schools will have to reduce fees by 15 per cent

Amid the Koro crisis, the Maharashtra cabinet today took an important decision on school fees. The Cabinet has approved 15% in the fees of private schools in the state. The state government has already constituted a committee to ensure that the fee structure is followed in colleges as well. The state government has adopted an ordinance to reduce school fees.

The ordinance will empower the state government to manage the fee structure of private schools during a crisis like the current Koro epidemic. The Maharashtra government has taken this decision in view of the Koro epidemic. And this decision has been taken with inspiration from states like Rajasthan. An ordinance of 15 per cent reduction in fees has been announced.

The Maharashtra Cabinet has decided that the fee structure should be structured in such a way that no student is deprived of education. Concerns have been raised by parents over the past few months that private schools are making a profit even during the epidemic. While the epidemic has created a financial crisis for many parents. Many people had approached Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray about this.

"We have taken this decision in relation to this year's fee," Education Minister Gaekwad said. The decision has been taken by the cabinet of the state government as per the order of the Supreme Court. It has been clarified that if this decision is not followed by the private school, action will be taken against them.
