Other cyclonic circulation will be seen north of the Bay of Bengal. As a result, a mild pressure zone is likely to form in and around the northern Bay of Bengal around July 28. Due to the influence of these two systems, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh till July 29.

Then the intensity will decrease. Scattered to very heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on July 27-28, while Agni Uttar Pradesh will receive rains on July 27. Scattered heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue till July 26 in eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. Then it will lose its momentum.

Extensive, heavy rains are likely from July 27 in eastern and central India, including Odisha, the Gangetic region of West Bengal and Jharkhand. The ghat areas of Konkan, Goa and central Maharashtra will receive heavy rains with scattered showers in the next three days. These areas are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains from July 29. Many people have been killed in landslides and floods in Maharashtra in the last two weeks.
