People in northern India were disturbed by the extreme heat and scorching heat. Normally in the first week of July, it rains all over the country, instead the whole of northern India was disturbed by the scorching heat from the sky. According to the meteorological department, the heat wave is unlikely to last for another week or so.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the first week of July will see heatwave conditions across northern India. States including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi saw higher temperatures and the same heat as in April-May was felt in July.
Meteorological officials said dry wires from Pakistan's desert region are sweeping across northern India, causing a heatwave in the atmosphere. In addition, people in almost seven states recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius on average. It was as if summer had suddenly struck in the last days.
According to officials, the monsoon has set in in many parts of the country, but northern Indian states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will be excluded from the monsoon for a week. Rainfall is unlikely in these states in the first week of July, so there is no chance of relief from the heat.
Demand for electricity was on the rise in north India due to hot weather. Delhi was scorched by 3 degrees. As a result, the highest demand for electricity in the capital Delhi reached 206 MW on Thursday. The demand was 61 MW on Wednesday and 5 MW on Tuesday. The highest demand so far was recorded in 2030 and 2021. Finally, on July 3, 2016, the demand for electricity in Delhi was 206 MW. The cost of electricity in the capital suggests that the demand for ACs and fans is as high in the summer as it is in the summer.
