Demand for resumption of Capitol Hill tour

Visitors barred from entering Corona for 16 months due to post-Trump riots

Washington D.C. : The historic area around the American Parliament, known as Capitol Hill in the US capital, Washington, has been closed to general visitors and tourists for the past 16 months. The area is still closed due to the Corona epidemic and the subsequent attacks by its supporters following the defeat of former President Trump.

Most Americans are expressing the feeling that Capitol Hill, the symbol of democracy, should not be closed when July 4th is America's Independence Day. CEO of the United States Capitol Historical Society. Jane L. Campbell says Capitol Hill has always been a symbol of democracy.

This place has witnessed America's civil war, both world wars as well as all the good times. So this place is the saddest thing if America is closed on Independence Day. For the first time in the country's history, Capitol Hill has been closed for 16 months.

All the MPs are now constantly considering and working out when the tour of visitors can start here again. However this re-opening will come with some sort of restrictions and rules. This is because more than 500 MPs, the staff of the Capitol and the staff of the surrounding institutions have also worked in this complex.
