BJP to contest elections in all 117 assembly seats in Punjab: Union General Secretary Santosh

New Delhi, 9 July 2021 Friday

Bharatiya Janata Party Organization General Secretary BL. Santosh said the party would contest all the 117 seats in the state in next year's assembly elections and form a government in the state. Santosh, who is here to meet the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has made the announcement in the run-up to next year's assembly elections in the state.

In Punjab, the BJP has been contesting elections in alliance with the Akali Dal, but the Akali Dal has backed down in view of opposition to the central government's new agriculture law in the state. The Akali Dal has now formed an alliance with the BSP, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also trying to wrest power from the Congress.

The general secretary of the organization also held a meeting with the region leaders of the party and others and discussed the politics of the state. Addressing party workers, Santosh said there was a BJP wave in the country and the people of Punjab were eager to form a BJP government in the state as well. Santosh said the Bharatiya Janata Party would contest the assembly elections on its own in all the 117 seats in the state and win the 2022 assembly elections with the cooperation of the people.

The general secretary of the organization said that the false propaganda against the agricultural laws will end soon as the farmers have realized that these laws will bring prosperity.
