- One person lost his life due to flash floods in Himachal Pradesh and 9 people are missing

A cloudburst has wreaked havoc in the Honjar Dutch village of Jammu and Kashmir. The disaster has claimed the lives of 6 people and left 40 missing. Police, army and other rescue teams have reached the spot and efforts are underway to find the missing persons.
The Deputy Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir said that 8-9 houses were damaged due to cloudburst in Honjar village. The bodies of 6 people have been exhumed from the rubble of the houses and rescue work is underway with the help of Army and SDRF. The IAF has also been contacted as the wounded need to be airlifted and naval help will also be sought.
Expressed condolences by Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said he had spoken to the LG and DGP of Jammu and Kashmir about the cloudburst at Kishtwar. The SDRF, the army and the local administration are engaged in rescue operations and the NDRF will also join. The priority is to save the lives of as many people as possible. Amit Shah expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
According to the district administration, the incident took place in a place in Dutch where there are no roads. A team of police and army has reached the spot and the situation is being investigated.
