4,000 Assam troops to clash on border with Mizoram

New Delhi: The border dispute between Assam and Mizoram is raging. The entire situation is being monitored by the Home Ministry and Home Minister Amit Shah is in touch with the Chief Ministers of both the states. Six Assam security personnel, on the other hand, were killed in clashes with local militants in Mizoram. Following which a shutdown was observed in Assam. Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has convened a meeting of the Chief Secretaries and DGPs of Assam and Mizoram. The meeting will discuss how to restore peace between the two states. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said he will knock on the Supreme Court's door to oppose encroachment on the Inner Line Forest Reserve. Let not even an inch of Assam's land fall into the hands of the neighboring state.

The central government, on the other hand, has now decided to deploy paramilitary forces wherever there is a dispute on the border between Mizoram and Assam. At the same time, the states have decided to withdraw their police from these areas. There is an ongoing dispute between Assam and Mizoram over land pressure. Assam alleges that its land has been usurped by the people of Mizoram. In which case he is preparing to go to the Supreme Court.
