Twelve mentally ill Indians lodged in Pakistani jails for six years could not be identified

Attempts to identify 12 mentally ill Indian prisoners in Pakistan's jails for six years have yielded no results. The Union Home Ministry has also posted photos of him on its website, asking for help from the general public, including states and union territories, but he could not be identified.

According to an official, the prisoners have completed their sentences but have not been sent to India as their nationalities have not been confirmed.

Twelve inmates in Pakistan's jails are believed to be Indians, including four women, and Pakistani officials have named them Gullu Jaan, Ajmira, Nakaya and Hussein.

Other prisoners are Sonu Singh, Surinder Mahto, Prahlad Singh, Silroff Salim, Birju, Raju, Bipla, Rupi Pal, Penvasi Lal, Raju Maholi, Shyam Sundar, Ramesh and Raju Rai.

The Home Ministry has said that anyone who can provide information on any of the 12 persons should contact the Home Ministry's Under Secretary (Foreigners), State Governments or Union Territories Home Department or Director General of Police or Inspector General of Police or Commissioner of Police.

The Home Ministry has issued a notification saying that along with this, photos of 19 mentally ill people lodged in Pakistani jails have been released. These individuals are believed to be Indian.

Because these people are mentally disturbed, they are unable to provide any details like the names of their parents, relatives or their address in India.
