The move by the UAE for Israel was a blow to Muslim countries

- Israel is also moving towards normalizing relations with Morocco and Sudan

New delhi date. May 1, 2021, Tuesday

Tensions between Muslim nations, which have shown solidarity with the attack on Palestine, could escalate once again. Tensions at a meeting of Islamic countries following the attack on Palestine could deepen as Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a tax agreement on Monday.

The Israeli finance minister said the move came after relations between the two countries normalized last year. The UAE's finance ministry said in October that it had reached a preliminary agreement with Israel to avoid double taxation. The agreement between the two parties was approved by ministers and parliament this year. The agreement between the two parties will take effect on June 1, 2022.

This is the first tax treaty since relations between the UAE, Bahrain and Israel normalized last year. In the same way, Israel is moving towards normalizing relations with Morocco and Sudan. This agreement is mainly based on the OECD model.

Tensions between other Muslim countries have risen as relations between the UAE and Israel have improved. Tensions have risen sharply, especially in the wake of the recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
