Tensions between Modi and Yogi in Uttar Pradesh, only CM in meetings: PM disappears in posters

- Cold War between Modi and Yogi before 2022 elections

- Yogi Adityanath angry over entry of AK Sharma, Modi's confidante, fights against Prime Minister, Home Minister and National President

New Delhi: January to June has come but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a retired officer of the Gujarat cadre to Uttar Pradesh to join the party. He has not been assigned any responsibility in Uttar Pradesh. Under these circumstances, the question arises as to whether Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite Modi and AK Sharma's closeness, Yogi is bathing with the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi introduced him to the BJP in January a year and a half before AK Sharma's job was completed by taking VRS. The Centre's effort was to give him an important position in local politics and an important department like Home in the cabinet but the Chief Minister himself is keeping his distance from AK Sharma. They are not called to meetings. In two consecutive meetings, Yogi himself refused to let AK Sharma come. Despite being an officer close to Modi, Yogi does not want AK Sharma to get an important position in the government.

Importantly, all attempts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda to persuade Yogi Adityanath have failed. Not all formulas and techniques for pushing the yogi are working. Dattatreya Hosbole, Modi's most trusted and general secretary of the Sangh, went to Lucknow as an envoy but had no success. BJP national president JP Nadda also visited Lucknow.

It is believed that the hard Hindutva of the yogi has had such an effect that the Bhagat Mandali portrays the yogi as the successor of Prime Minister Modi. Uttar Pradesh, on the other hand, is being discredited by one incident after another. If we look at various issues like Hathraskand, development of Kanpur, Dubey scandal, allegations of anti-Brahmin government by BJP MLAs themselves and negligence of the state government in the transition to Koro, the controversy in the party is not going away.

If Uttar Pradesh gets out of hand in 202, there is no guarantee of a government in Delhi in 205. The aim of giving AK Sharma an important position in the government is to win the elections. Modi wants AK Sharma to get an important position in Uttar Pradesh but Yogi does not want to give him so he does not expand the cabinet. Yogi was moving to his area Gorakhpur when AK Sharma was elected to MNC. Yogi had given Sharma a bungalow outside Lucknow when he had to give him a bungalow as a representative. The rift between the two leaders is not quickly healed. The yogi is said to have said at one stage that if there is notoriety in preventing the transition of corona it is dumped on the state which is not fair.

Tensions between Modi and Yogi are so high that June 9 was Yogi's birthday but Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National President JP Nadda did not even wish Yogi a happy birthday on Twitter. Earlier, Modi took to Twitter to wish Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat a happy birthday on April 9. Filmstar Shatrudhna Sinha also scoffed and said this is what is going on between the PM and the CM. Why not exchange birthday wishes.

The crisis is growing in the Uttar Pradesh BJP because of AK Sharma. The yogis do not even extend the cabinet of their government despite the instruction of the Movdi Mandal. BJP and Sangh leaders are becoming sleep deprived due to many questions inside and outside the party. Yogi Adityanath has been a BJP MP from Gorakhpur since 19. He has never contested an election with the confidence of the BJP. He has won the Lok Sabha elections five times. He is considered a hermit leader.

In the 2014 Uttar Pradesh elections, Yogi was not on the BJP's list of 20 star campaigners, but the party fielded him in western Uttar Pradesh. It is said that a yogi walks with his thoughts and faith. Contrary to the party, they have often gone. When the BJP gave a whip on the women's reservation bill in Parliament in 2010, it did not accept it. He said he opposes reservations.

The way the Sangh Parivar and BJP central leaders have been meeting in Uttar Pradesh for the past two weeks has caused a stir in the region's politics. A senior BJP leader has said that Chief Minister Yogi has clearly said that it is difficult to make Arvind Sharma a cabinet minister even if he forgets any important department. More than the Minister of State is not willing to give them anything. This attitude of the yogi has led to contempt of the Prime Minister's Office. Yogi has challenged Modi.

Some BJP leaders in Uttar Pradesh are looking at Yogi as an alternative to Modi. If that happens, the 205 Uttar Pradesh elections will be very interesting. On the other hand, it is said that the yogi has the backing of the Sangh Parivar but the Sangh Parivar also knows how long the yogi's claim against Modi lasts. Proponents of the yogi believe that AK Sharma has been parachuted into Uttar Pradesh which is not appropriate.

Yogi considers Narendra Modi as a mentor from Corona to the country's economy, but the Uttar Pradesh BJP's Facebook account and Twitter banner do not even have a photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister is also missing from banners and posters on BJP's social platforms. What is shocking is that there is not even a picture of Modi in an advertisement poster linked to the Namami Ganga scheme shared from the BJP's UP handle. Yogi was also absent from the May 9 meeting of top leaders in Delhi. Yogi was also not present at the meeting of the Sangh leader in Lucknow.

While BJP vice-president Radha Mohan Singh called on Governor Anandiben Patel at a time when there was speculation about a cabinet reshuffle and a change of leadership in Uttar Pradesh, speculation was rife about a cabinet reshuffle and a change of leadership in Uttar Pradesh. But Radhamohan Singh said there was no such thing. The UP government and the organization are strong. Even though Modi Vasas Yogi became the top trend popular on Twitter handle, the political heat is rising in the state due to the upcoming elections next year.

As the second wave of Koro transition continues, discontent in the Uttar Pradesh BJP and the panchayat election results have raised concerns for the BJP. When Yogi went to meet the governor late last month, speculation of a cabinet expansion was rife but Yogi has not done so yet. Yogi currently has 9 ministers in the cabinet and they can hold up to 20. Though the posts of the other seven ministers have fallen vacant, the impression has emerged in Delhi that Yogi is not expanding his cabinet because of AK Sharma.

Amid the tensions between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, a meeting of top BJP leaders was held on May 9. Union leader Hosbal went to Lucknow on May 4-5. On May 9, Yogi met the Governor. On May 21, BL Santosh and Radha Mohan had a meeting in UP. On June 3, the top leaders of the Sangh met in Delhi. The top leaders met in Delhi on June 6. On the same day, Radhamohan Singh met Governor Anandibahen Patel. Radhamohan said it was the right of the chief minister to expand the cabinet. Some positions are vacant but the decision is up to the yogi.
