Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust got FD of Rs. 500 crore

With the speed of construction work of the magnificent temple of Lord Shriram in Ramnagari Ayodhya increasing, the Shri Ramjanma Bhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust donated Rs. 200 crore FDI has been done in SBI's Ayodhya branch. The trust has also completed the process of opening an account to receive donations in foreign currency.

The trust had launched a nationwide fundraising campaign to raise funds for the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. Through this campaign, the trust has received an estimated Rs. 3,000 crore was donated. The Rs 300 crore FD made by the trust is only a part of this fund. "After discussions with an experienced chartered accountant, a permanent FD of Rs 200 crore has been made at SBI's Ayodhya branch," said Champatray, general secretary of the trust. Meanwhile, the process of opening an account at SBI's main branch in Delhi has been completed in the hope of raising funds for the construction of the temple from abroad. For donations in foreign currency, it is mandatory to have an account at SBI's main branch. Donations collected under the fund dedication campaign are being audited at the district level. Once completed, an audit report will be prepared across the country. At the same time, there was a transparent monitoring of the fundraising campaign through software developed by an IT company in Hyderabad.
