Sensex, Nifty bounce to historic high

Investors' wealth increased to Rs. 231.58 lakh crore

AHMEDABAD: The Sensex and Nifty rebounded to record highs today on fresh gains led by foreign investors amid strong optimism that economic growth would pick up in the unlocked phase despite inflation hitting record highs.

The intra-day Sensex rose 221.52 points to close at a new all-time high of 52773.05 after hitting a new all-time high of 52869.51.

At the NSE, the Nifty rose intraday to a new high of 15,901, closing at a new high of 15,869.25, up 57.40 points.

Following the rise in the Sensex, investors' assets (BAC market cap) today rose by Rs. With an increase of Rs 76,000 crore, it reached a record high of Rs 231.58 lakh crore. Foreign investors today raised Rs. Made new purchases of Rs 634 crore.
