Rohingyas and Bangladeshis could affect UP elections


Disclosure after arrest by UP ATS

Claiming to be trying to document everything from ration cards to election cards infiltrated into UP

Lucknow: Police are keeping a close eye on Bangladeshis and Rohingyas who have entered Uttar Pradesh illegally. There are reports that many such people are being arrested. At the same time, it is being claimed that they can have an impact on the UP Assembly elections.

The Rohingya nationals were arrested in Ghaziabad by the UP ATS, whose interrogation revealed that the arrested were Amir Hussain and Noor Alam Vendor and that they had entered India illegally from the Rohingya. Vendor operates specially from Delhi Khajuri.

Prashant Kumar, ADG, Law and Order, has claimed that Rohingya and Bangladeshi nationals are now setting up their bases in UP. The possibility is being expressed that they may have an impact on the Assembly elections that are going to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year. Before the election, they have been involved in everything from ration cards to election cards. Later they are also trying to get permanent citizenship.
