Pakistan has increased the use of drones in India since 2013 to supply weapons to terrorists. On August 15, 2016, a drone was shot down in a village in Amritsar. In September of the same year, a terrorist caught in Tarn Taran, Punjab, revealed that the drone had fired eight rounds at India.

On June 30, 2020, the BSF shot down a spy drone in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Also seized were weapons and explosives. On September 12 last year, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants who had supplied arms to Pakistan via drones the night before. On September 9, 2020, the Jammu and Kashmir Police seized weapons delivered through a drone in the Akhnoor sector. In December 2020, Punjab police seized eight hand grenades near the Pakistan border in Gurdaspur district, said to have been destroyed by a Pakistani drone.

Just last month, the BSF seized weapons from a Pakistani drone in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police DGP Dilbag Singh has already said that Pakistan is using Chinese-made drones to supply weapons to terrorists in India. Chinese-made carbines have also been seized from drone weapons.
