Rainstorms in Delhi, Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan

The monsoon had arrived in North India. Rains lashed states like Delhi, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar and Uttarakhand. The meteorological department has issued an alert forecasting rain in these states.

Scattered showers lashed states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Rain was recorded everywhere in Rajasthan. Areas like Barmer, Bhilwara, Dholpur, Pipalkhunt, Rasmand, Sirohi, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh were lashed by rains.
The meteorological department has forecast light to heavy rains in northeast India in the next three-four days and issued an alert. It was forecast to rain in Punjab in two days. It will take another four to five days for the monsoon to reach Jharkhand and West Bengal. Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh will receive heavy rains in two-three days.
It was cloudy in Delhi. Caution was advised in the wake of the possibility of floods in Bihar rivers due to rains in Nepal.
An alert was issued in Uttarakhand due to heavy rains in the Himalayan hills. People were warned especially about the possibility of floods in the Gangakantha area. There were reports of rising water levels in many small and large rivers in Uttarakhand.
