Pakistan's Supreme Court saves Hindu Dharamshala in Karachi

The local government had ordered the demolition of a Hindu Dharamshala in Karachi. He was challenged in the Supreme Court. In this regard, the Supreme Court of Pakistan gave a historic verdict and saved the Dharamshala from collapsing.

The Supreme Court had saved the inn from collapsing. The Supreme Court's order to demolish the inn was quashed by the Supreme Court. Not only that, the Supreme Court had also ordered to declare the Dharamshala, built in 19, as a national heritage site.
The local government decided to lease the Hindu Dharamshala and its premises. That decision was also overturned by the Supreme Court. The judges instructed to remove the pressure on the inn.
The verdict was becoming historic. Minority Hindus reached the Supreme Court to save the Dharamshala. He had a very important victory. Pakistan Hindu Council leader Dr. Ramesh Kumar told the Supreme Court that the majority Muslim community in Karachi wanted to demolish the historic building and build a mall in its place. The court, while upholding the demands of the Hindu minority, has handed over the responsibility of protection of the Dharamshala to the local government body.
It may be recalled that in December last year, 100 miscreants vandalized the site of the Dharamshala and beat up Hindu devotees. The tomb of a Hindu saint at this place was also damaged. After that, there was a huge protest by the Hindu community all over Pakistan.
