Now that the Center has canceled the exams, there is pressure on the state governments to cancel their board exams. Many governments have agreed with the central government's decision and some states may take a final decision on board exams in the next 1-2 days.

Uttar Pradesh: The state government may take a decision on Wednesday or Thursday regarding the UP board exam. The Centre's decision was welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Education Minister Dinesh Sharma. He also hinted that such a decision could be taken for the state board.

Maharashtra: Corona is most prevalent in Maharashtra so there is more concern about children. The state government on Tuesday welcomed the Centre's decision and said the health of children is paramount. A decision on the state board exam will be taken soon. There are indications that the exams may be canceled due to such comments by the government.

West Bengal: Corona spread very fast in Bengal after the elections. Because of this the children-parents were very worried about the exam. The state government may announce the state board exam on Wednesday. But the patch is still stuck as the education department’s press conference has been canceled.

Haryana: Like the central government, the state government has also canceled its board exams. Criteria for how to pass the children will be decided soon. The 10th standard examination has already been canceled in the state.

Rajasthan: A cabinet meeting will be held in Rajasthan on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in which a decision may be taken. It is hoped that the exam may be canceled even in Congress-ruled states as Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was constantly demanding for this.
