No longer seen in jeans, t-shirts and sports shoes CBI officials ordered to wear formal clothes

News of a major change in the dress code of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials and staff has surfaced. Under the new order, officers will be allowed to dress only as per the prescribed dress code while on duty in the office. They will be banned from wearing jeans, t-shirts and sports shoes. The order was issued by the new CBI director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal.

Jeans, t-shirts, sports shoes will not work in the office

As per the order issued by the new director, from now on, every CBI officer or employee will have to wear proper formal clothes in the office. It also has separate instructions for male and female officers. Male officers must wear formal shirts-pants and formal shoes as well as come to the office with a beard. While women officers and employees have been ordered to wear only saris, suits and formal shirts while on duty.

The order issued by the Deputy Director with the approval of CBI Director Subodh Kumar has asked the heads of all CBI branches across the country to ensure strict adherence to the directives.
