The reason for the crash in the shares of Adani Group

Shares of Adani Group have been falling sharply since Monday. Shares of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones also fell about 8.5 per cent to Rs 645.35 on the BSE on Thursday. Apart from that, shares of Adani Transmission, Adani Power and Adani Total Gas also had to undergo a 5 per cent lower circuit.

On Monday, it was reported that National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) had blocked the accounts of three foreign funds. These funds have invested Rs 43,500 crore in Adani Group companies. As a result, shares of Adani Group companies went up on Monday and most of the stocks had to go into lower circuit.
