Like last year, this year also a rath yatra was organized in Puri without devotees

The Odisha government has decided to organize a rath yatra without devotees in Puri this year as it did last year. Like last year, curfew will be imposed on the day of Rathyatra this year as well. Apart from Puri, rath yatra will not be held in other areas of the state.

According to Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK, all the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court last year will be implemented this year as well.

Which said only servants would be allowed to join the rathyatra. Servants also have to follow certain rules to join the rathyatra.

Only those servants who have taken both doses of Corona vaccine or whose RTPCR test is negative 3 hours before the Rathyatra will be allowed to join the Rathyatra.

It is to be mentioned that there is a rathyatra of Lord Jagannath on 15th July. The first wave of the Corona was running at the time of the Rathyatra last year and the second wave of the Rathyatra is currently underway.

Outside vehicles will not be allowed in Puri on the day of Rathyatra. Only necessary and essential services will be continued.
