In the last 2 years, even though no major public event has been organized in countries around the world and in India, the enthusiasm for Yoga Day has not diminished. Yoga became a ray of hope

In his address, the Prime Minister said, “Yoga has become a beacon of hope today as the whole world is facing the Corona epidemic. For the last 2 years, even though no major public event has been organized in countries around the world and in India, there has been no decline in enthusiasm for Yoga Day. The theme of this year's yoga day in the Corona era is yoga and wellness has increased the enthusiasm for yoga among millions of people. On this yoga day, I work to make every country, every society and every person healthy. Together they become each other's strengths. '

Even in epidemics, people did not forget yoga

Our sages have defined yoga as 'Samatvam Yoga Uchyate'. He made abstinence a parameter of yoga in a way, to be equal in happiness and sorrow. Yoga has proved it today during this global tragedy. During Corona's 1.5 years, many countries, including India, have faced major crises. For most countries of the world yoga is not their centuries old feast. During this difficult time, in the midst of so much trouble, people can easily forget and ignore yoga but on the contrary, the enthusiasm for yoga has increased and the love for yoga has increased. In the last 1.5 years, millions of new yoga practitioners have appeared in the corners of the world. They are also trying to bring the first synonym of yoga, which is restraint and discipline, into life.

Yoga became a means of self-empowerment

When the corona's invisible virus appeared in the world, no country was ready for it in terms of resources, capabilities and mentality. As we all saw, yoga became a great means of self-empowerment in such difficult times. Because of yoga, people believe that we can fight this disease.

Doctors also used yoga

When I spoke to Frontline Warriors, the doctors said that in the fight against Corona, he made yoga his only shield. Doctors also strengthened themselves with yoga and used it to heal their patients faster. Today there are many pictures of hospitals in which doctors, nurses etc. are seen teaching yoga to patients. Experts around the world are also telling us how much power our respiratory system has got from breathing exercises like Pranayama, Anulom-Vilom.

Today, experts from all over the world are doing a lot of research on yoga and in addition to physical health, there is also an emphasis on mental health. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi launched the M-Yoga application. Developed in collaboration with the UN and WHO, the application will feature a number of videos of yoga training based on the Common Yoga Protocol in different languages of the world.
