Internal conflict in state units with directionless Congress leadership

New Delhi, Dt

The impact of the disorientation and weakness of the Congress at the national level is now exacerbating the problem for the party even in the states. Not only in Punjab and Rajasthan, but also in states with strong populations like Gujarat and Kerala, the party's internal conflict has escalated and factionalism is not going away. In this too, the dilemma of the Congress leadership and the delay in taking decisive decisions is weighing heavily on the party. Meanwhile, senior leader Kapil Sibal has also appealed to the high command and dissident leaders to listen to each other. He said the high command is listening. If they do not listen to disgruntled leaders, nothing will survive.

Due to the disorientation and indecisiveness of the Congress high command, senior leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia and Jitin Prasad have left the Congress and joined the BJP. The internal struggle of the Congress in Punjab has reached such a level that the high command has to make efforts to find a solution by forming a committee of senior leaders. Punjab is due to hold assembly elections early next year and the party is embroiled in a tussle with its own leaders instead of preparing to return to power.

Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh does not want to see the possibility of creating competition in his monopoly politics, from Navjot Singh Sidhu to Pratap Singh Bajwa. Navjot Singh Sidhu, an aspirant in Punjab, is not ready to accept the captain's leadership due to his popularity. Due to this, the temperature of the party is rising from Chandigarh to Delhi in the wake of the Punjab Congress.

Similarly, Sachin Pilot and his supporters, who revolted in Rajasthan 10 months ago, are still waiting to return to power and organization in Rajasthan. But Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is still ignoring the pilot group. Now the pilot group is opening up and demanding that the promises made to them be fulfilled. The High Command is also in favor of increasing the importance of the pilot group, but Gehlot is avoiding this by taking advantage of the leadership dilemma at the national level. With senior leader Jitin Prasad leaving the party, now Sachin is also trying to put pressure on both Gehlot and the high command.

Kapil Sibal, a leading leader of the Congress dissident group, has clearly blamed the high command's insensitivity for the party's current state. He said that the most important thing in politics is to listen to the people. If an organization stops listening, its development stops there. He urged the high command to meet the demands of disgruntled leaders. He said nothing would be left if the high command did not listen. With Jitin Prasad's joining the BJP, we are now moving from 'Aya Ram Gaya Ram' to Prasad politics. Wherever you find prasad, join the party.
