Indian jailed for 26 months for insider trading in US

Vicky Bohra, a resident of Washington, obtained company information from his wife who works at Amazon.

Washington: The Indian-origin husband of a former Amazon employee has been sentenced by a US court to 26 months in prison. He was convicted of making an illegal profit of ркоાં 1.4 million in stocks by obtaining inside trading information from his wife.

Vicky Bohra, 37, of Bothel, Washington, was convicted in November 2020. Acting U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman said Bohra admitted that he obtained Amazon's inside information from his wife between 2016 and 2018.
