The famous 'Noor Jahan' mango is cultivated in Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh. The current year has seen a good harvest of mangoes as compared to last year and the size of mangoes has also increased as compared to last year. This year, the price of a single piece of Nurjaha mango is running at Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.

According to sources, only a few mango trees, believed to be of Afghan origin, are found in Kattiwada in Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. This area is located on the border of Gujarat.

Shivraj Singh Jadhav, a mango grower from Kattiwada, 60 km from Indore, said on Sunday that he had three Nurjaha mango trees in his garden and a total of 20 fruits had been planted on them. All these carriers have been booked in advance. People are willing to pay from Rs.500 to Rs.1000 for a mango of this species.

He said that people from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat are among those who have made advance bookings for this carry. Jadhav further said that this time the weight of one Nurjahan mango is estimated to be two to three and a half kg.

Due to the adverse effects of climate change last year, the mango tree did not bear fruit. Due to which these were deprived of Carrie's hobby. In 2016, a Nurjaha mango weighed 4.5 kg. It was then paid up to Rs 1,500.
